about me

Hi there! I’m a curriculum writer and classroom resource developer with a passion for literacy. My professional journey started in journalism, where I refined my writing and editing skills—skills that I now apply to creating engaging, research-based content for young readers.

Currently, I work at Scholastic, developing materials that foster literacy and help students become confident readers. I also tutor students one-on-one, using evidence-based strategies to support reading development.

Outside of education, I have a love for the Spanish language due to my Hispanic heritage. I grew up surrounded by the language and rich Mexican culture, and developed an interest in language early on. I minored in Spanish in college and furthered my studies at the Intercultura Samara Spanish Immersion School in Costa Rica, where I completed the B1 - Mid to Upper Intermediate course.

Whether I’m crafting curriculum or helping students unlock the world of reading, I’m driven by a commitment to creating inclusive, culturally rich educational experiences.
